SJLibrary.org - Reserve a Computer/Room
Public Computer Rules
OTHER HELP TOPICS:

Please observe the following rules when you reserve a computer:

  1. A valid library card and pin number is required to reserve a public computer.

  2. Reservations can only be made by the cardholder, and the public computer reserved can only be used by the cardholder.

  3. You may have four reservations at a time. You may make reservations four business days in advance.

  4. Reserved public computers will be held for 10 minutes at the King Library and 5 minutes at all branches, after which public computers will be made available to other patrons.

  5. After you use your reserved time, you may make another reservation for later that day OR you may, without a reservation, continue to use the public computer provided it has not been reserved.

  6. If you see a public computer not in use, you may log-on and use it without a reservation, provided no one else has reserved it.

  7. When your session expires, you will be automatically logged off the public computer you are using.

  8. There is a daily 2-hour total limit on branch public computer use and a 2-hour base at King Library. Reserved and unreserved use of any type of public computer counts toward this limit. There is no guarantee of computer availability.

  9. Please read our Internet Access and Use Policy. This applies to all Internet users.
